Meaning Workshops
Who is writing your future?
Most of us carry a story about who we are and what we can do. We rarely check it. Much of it was written by other people: family, school, work, the words others used about us.
Misplaced Identity is a workshop about that story. We look at how it was built, which words hold it together, and where it no longer fits the person you are becoming. Then we work on the next chapter, deliberately.
How self-narratives form, why they harden, and how to revise one without pretending the past didn't happen.
How stories persuade, explain and organise experience, for others and for ourselves.
Finding precise words for what happens between people, so you can understand it and say it.
Insults, labels and throwaway remarks that stay with us for years, and how to take their power apart.
A structured method, adapted from professional onboarding practice, for mapping what you are actually good at and what you want to move toward.
One full day, 10:00 to 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break (lunch not included). A group of no more than 15, working in person with Edward Rozzo. Short provocations, guided exercises and conversation, using material from your own life and work. Each participant leaves with worksheets to continue on their own.
No preparation is needed. Bring curiosity and a willingness to question what you already believe about yourself.
Narrative Capital is the book behind this workshop, part of the Practical Guides for Decoding Meaning in Daily Life. Its argument: meaning is constructed, not found, and we can lose the words and stories we need to keep constructing it. The workshop puts that idea into practice.
